Dr. Oyebanjo-Popoola (Dr. O) is a Christian Psychiatrist, who is married and blessed with three children. After Medical School, she completed four years of residency training at the University of Missouri Kansas City, Missouri. While there, she was the Chief Resident. After residency training in Psychiatry, she pursued further training in the field of Addiction Medicine. She is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Addictionologist with expertise in Mental Health, Learning Disability, Trauma and Addiction. She is privileged to be a member of the inaugural set to be awarded a Diplomate by the American Board of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Oyebanjo-Popoola believes that "as a man thinketh in his heart so is he and whatever a man believes he can do; he can do." Her philosophy has been that whatever affects your thinking affects your life, your relationships, and your God-given potential and ultimately your contributions to the society at large.Doctor Oyebanjo recently completed further training in Trauma with a particular interest in Women and Children, and Global Mental Health from Harvard medical school. Her philosophy is that you must be willing to play an active role in your recovery; it will cost you time and resources as the insurance companies do not cover all services. She believes in the efficacy of medication in conjunction with therapy. She is also an expert in Interventional Psychiatry such as TMS and Biofeedback, the only one in West Georgia. She is supported by a team of Multidisciplinary Clinicians and administrative staff at different locations.
Due to global Telepsychiatry capabilities, she can offer international consult for Mental Health Disorders such ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum and other neurodevelopmental disorders in countries like Nigeria. She also has a lot of interest in Women's mental health.
